Insurance periods of a married woman who passed away


The following periods are considered as insurance periods of a woman who was married (to a person covered in old-age insurance):

  • If she was born in Israel and got married after the age of 18: the period during which she was single, from age 18 until the date of her marriage (whether or not she worked during this period);
  • If she immigrated to Israel before age 18 and married after age 18: the period during which she was single, from age 18 until the date of her marriage (whether or not she worked during this period);
  • If she immigrated to Israel after age 18 and married after age 18: the period during which she was single, from the date of her immigration until the date of her marriage (whether or not she worked during this period);
  • If she worked while she was married: the periods of her work while married;
  • If she had been divorced before her marriage: the period beginning a month after the month of her divorce, and for as long as she was divorced (whether or not she worked during this period);
  • If she was a widow before her marriage and had not received a survivor's pension or dependent's pension from the NII for this period: the period during which she was a widow, and for as long as she did not receive a survivor's pension or dependent's pension from the NII (whether or not she worked during this period);
  • If she was a widow before her marriage and had received a survivor's pension or dependent's pension from the NII for this period: only her period of work.
  • If she had received a disability pension while married: the entire period for which she received the disability pension (whether or not she worked during this period).
